EUCALYPTUS GLOBULUS. Famous "gum" trees of Australia, sources of essential oils used in perfumery and medicine. Despite the enormous height they normally attain, Eucalyptus can be grown indoors with occasional pruning to maintain a manageable size. Cough drops and sore throat lozengers are made with the oil. Powerful antiseptic. Helps deodorize the air when grown indoors.
